One of the most popular social networks today is Instagram. This application is owned by Facebook and little by little it is incorporating new features of it. For this reason, today we are going to check the different ways that we have on Instagram to find and add friends to our network of contacts. In this way you will have all the options available to be able to add them in different ways. Whether searching for them by name within the application itself, selecting them from a photo in which they are tagged or using a QR code, you can find all your friends.
Search users by name on Instagram
The most common way to find and add friends is by searching for them by name in the same application. To do this we will only have to click on the magnifying glass icon we will find in the options bar at the bottom. Once we press it, we can search for friends by different categories such as “Featured”, “Accounts”, “Hashtag” and “Places”. We only have to write the name of our username of your friend, his Instagram pseudonym at the top and the application will show us a series of results based on our location, where we can select it.
Scanning QR code
This is one of the new functions that Instagram has released so that we can add our friends quickly and easily. To use it, we must access our profile by clicking on the icon located at the bottom right. Once we click on the three horizontal stripes in the upper right part and select the “QR Code” option. This will help us so that other users can scan the code by clicking on “Scan QR code” at the bottom. In this way they can start following us automatically.
Follow and invite friends
Instagram also offers us the possibility of inviting our friends by email, SMS or by sharing an invitation through other applications such as Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, among others. To do this, we must access our profile, click on the three vertical stripes in the upper right and click on the “Settings” option. Once inside, click on the first option in the “Follow and invite friends” list. From here we can share our link in different ways so that our friends can easily add us.
Add tagged contacts to photos
Instagram, like any other social network, allows us to tag friends in the photos we upload. That is why it can become a good way to discover friends who use the platform and who do not have additions to our network of contacts. Through the tags that our friends include in the photos, we can reach those people that we want to add. This works both from photos uploaded to profiles and Instagram stories.
